The split was done on amicable terms and it was even filmed for Total Bellas. Shortly after, Nikki announced a relationship alongside her DWTS partner, and it had fans questioning her time on the competition.
Artem Chigvintsev Admitted To Crushing On Nikki Bella During 'Dancing With The Stars'
During DWTS, Nikki Bella and John Cena were still very much together. Nonetheless, Artem Chigvintsev admitted, he had instant feelings for Nikki from the first moment her met her.
“Favorite memory of us…well, obviously, I know—I mean, Nicole might feel a little different—but to me, just the [first] meeting, I think that was the one thing that kind of, like, tricked me out."

Nikki Bella learned to love her coach from DWTS, however, she did reveal that things were strictly professional and in fact, she also went through a stage in which she strongly disliked her coach and future partner!
"He kind of made a comment about my jive and got really mad at me," she recalled. "And I was like 'You know what, dude? J. Lo and Beyoncé don't jive. I don't have time for this.' And I walked out and I got in my car."
Nikki recalls calling John Cena after the moment took place and threatening to quit the show altogether.
"I remember during dress rehearsals sometimes I'd be like, 'Is he mad at me?' " Bella recalled. "It would make me feel really off. It would just be his tone. It was hard, it was hard on me a lot," she further stated.
